Meet the team

Peter Eason

Managing Director

Established in 1970 by founder George Eason, ELB Partners distributed foreign newspapers and magazines on behalf of the International Herald Tribune, their associated titles and the Wall Street Journal in conjunction with News Distribution Services Limited. A service offered and executed daily, 365 days of the year ensuring logistical excellence in London and throughout the United Kingdom. Very soon ELB were recognised and respected as a distributor of foreign news for major retail outlets and hotels, working closely with all wholesalers in the capital. Peter Eason, youngest son of George followed in his father’s footsteps and joined ELB in 1986.

In 2000 George Eason retired and the business reigns were handed to his sons Stephen and Peter Eason who successfully won many major contracts within the newspaper and magazine industry, many of which ELB are proud to serve today.

Business remained buoyant, yet Peter wes keen to diversify and extend the ELB service portfolio. Pallet networks were relatively new to the marketplace and in 2004 after careful consideration and numerous offers, ELB became a shareholder member of one of the fastest growing pallet networks in the sector. This partnership afforded ELB the long-awaited opportunity to offer a nationwide palletised distribution service. Forming relationships with like-minded businesses in every corner of the UK, working together as one team the business flourished. With an annual turnover exceeding five million pounds per annum the business growth surpassed all expectation and ELB remain a proud shareholder of one of the largest, most reputable networks in this country, delivering an unrivalled service in central London and the home counties to fellow members and their customers.

In an age of technology, changes in the media sector resulted in a slow decline of newspaper and magazine distribution and after careful consideration in 2016 ELB joined the HazChem Network, the only ADR and hazardous goods pallet network in the UK. Hazardous distribution is specialised, ELB continually invest in equipment and staff training, yet the modern fleet is utilised more efficiently, with improved operational productivity. Joining the Hazchem Network was the perfect opportunity to further strengthen the services offered to our longstanding and loyal customer base.

Stephen Eason retired in 2019 and Peter Eason, Managing Director, took sole control of the business in a facility occupied for over 10 years. Yet the business had outgrown their former Wimbledon site and in 2021 Peter moved the entire operation to a fantastic 60,000 sq ft logistics centre located in Croydon, an amazing facility ELB are proud to call home.

Peter remains passionate about nurturing the team from within, training, progression, and promotion. He is extremely proud of the company’s achievements to date, the ELB team, the loyalty of the ELB customers and always respectful of his fathers’ distribution dream over 50 years ago.

ELB Partners Limited is a force to be reckoned with, offering an award winning, unparalleled delivery service in London, the home counties and offers excellence in logistics throughout the UK.
